Hello Friend Challenge

Hello, Friend!  So glad you could join me for another post.

Today's card was inspired by color challenge #144 at Can You Case It.  The challenge is to use the colors below in a card.

I started with a piece of patterned cardstock from Hello Love by Crate Paper and added a pink strip of cardstock on the bottom of the card.  I stamped the Hello Friend sentiment form the Mama Elephant's Sunday Sentiments.  I just love that little heart!

Next I stamped and the girl and dog images from Sunday Stroll by Mama Elephant onto watercolor paper and watercolored them.  Once they were completely dry I used my Cameo and PixScan mat to die cut the images and adhered them to the card using foam tape.

Coffee Because Crack is Bad for You

After all the gray rainy days, I'm ready for a little color!

For today's card I started by stamping the sentiment from The Ton Stamps Caffeine Rush set in the center of an A2 sized piece of watercolor paper.  I then stamped the teacup image from Waffle Flower's Warm Wishes set multiple times around the sentiment. To add color to the tea cups, I used Inktense pencils and water brush.

Hello Sunshine!

The weather has been crazy rainy for a few days now.  I miss the California sunshine!  So I decided that if I can't have sunny weather to enjoy, at least I can share a sunshiny card!  Enjoy!

Freshly Made Sketches 269

A happy rainy Sunday to you.

Just dropping in to share the card I made for the Freshly Made Sketches 269 challenge.

Here's this week's sketch:

And here's my card:

I rotated the sketch to put the stripes at the bottom.

I started with some Recollections washi tape that I purchased on a whim (What can I say, I'm a sucker for a good deal on crafty goods.)  I used MFT Flashy Florals stamps to mimic the flowers on the washi tape.  A sprinkling of sequins finish off the card.

Paper:  Recollections card stock
Stamps:  My Favorite Things - Flashy Florals
Ink:  Papertrey Ink - Simply Charteruse, New Leaf, Ocean Tides, Tropical Teal, Americana, and Pure Poppy; Versafine - Onxy
Accessories:  Recollections washi tape, Hobby Lobby black sequins, Silhouette Cameo, PixScan mat

Stuck with Me

Hello and happy Friday! I'm so glad that you're joining me again today!

Today I have a clean and simple card to share with you made using one of my favorite stamp sets, Sweet Succulents  from My Favorite Things.

I stamped the succulent  image in onyx Versafine ink on watercolor paper. I "watercolored" the image using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.

To ground the image I stamped the sentiment underneath it and finished the card by adding a thin strip of black cardstock.

Thanks for dropping by!

Happy New Year

Welcome, friends! And a very happy 2017 to you.

I love the start of a brand new year because it mean a fresh start.  And this year I'm looking forward to a fresh start with my blog.

Even though I haven't posted in quite some time (nearly three years, yikes!) I have been crafting away!

To help me get back in the swing of things blogging wise, I thought I'd start by sharing some of the cards I've made over the last year.

A Rosy Hello!

I LOVE patterned paper!  Love it!  You could say I'm a bit obsessed with it.  In fact, I have to take Dear Husband with me when I go to the craft store, so I don't cave and buy every pad of patterned paper I see!

The patterned paper here is from the 5th & Frolic collection by Dear Lizzy and it inspired this card.

I started by stamping all of the images and die cutting them using my Cameo and the Pix Scan mat. The tea cup is from Tea Party by the Ton Stamps.  The rose and leafs are from Fresh Cut Roses by the Ton Stamps.  The "Hello" sentiment is from Succulents by Waffle Flower Stamps.

A few pearls, a doily and some gray twine finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by today!
