Hello, Friend! So glad you could join me for another post.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgin5ZtpnW-nRWSoCU-eqORgrHmVJNNhG7nt3VKgS38sMFVfNty_Vk5uGDxPOdnYJp4d89aRclSvqKXHQRVJwvDEdRM2KcDYfpwgd1medy3LDTJQ5wQAL5yhvZtkJSIp-XtUCkoTOqyOy8/s1600/20170110_191605.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="333" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgin5ZtpnW-nRWSoCU-eqORgrHmVJNNhG7nt3VKgS38sMFVfNty_Vk5uGDxPOdnYJp4d89aRclSvqKXHQRVJwvDEdRM2KcDYfpwgd1medy3LDTJQ5wQAL5yhvZtkJSIp-XtUCkoTOqyOy8/s400/20170110_191605.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Today's card was inspired by color challenge #144 at Can You Case It. The challenge is to use the colors below in a card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiQaQWuEl4HhGX3KSv_-JNIxJU8cdu-K0HDGVlP3n9q0Q02HJE7e2esvkEIy4z_EzzMMwo5Kft3TpCwFM4lO4eAq7zUKOSYh7l_I2SG-HwKmL3Jxp14b_fIDUt6YC0OhikkrjJSpsxEiA/s1600/CYCI144-300x240.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiQaQWuEl4HhGX3KSv_-JNIxJU8cdu-K0HDGVlP3n9q0Q02HJE7e2esvkEIy4z_EzzMMwo5Kft3TpCwFM4lO4eAq7zUKOSYh7l_I2SG-HwKmL3Jxp14b_fIDUt6YC0OhikkrjJSpsxEiA/s1600/CYCI144-300x240.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I started with a piece of patterned cardstock from Hello Love by Crate Paper and added a pink strip of cardstock on the bottom of the card. I stamped the Hello Friend sentiment form the Mama Elephant's Sunday Sentiments. I just love that little heart!<br />
<br />
Next I stamped and the girl and dog images from Sunday Stroll by Mama Elephant onto watercolor paper and watercolored them. Once they were completely dry I used my Cameo and PixScan mat to die cut the images and adhered them to the card using foam tape.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

After all the gray rainy days, I'm ready for a little color!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For today's card I started by stamping the sentiment from The Ton Stamps Caffeine Rush set in the center of an A2 sized piece of watercolor paper. I then stamped the teacup image from Waffle Flower's Warm Wishes set multiple times around the sentiment. To add color to the tea cups, I used Inktense pencils and water brush. </div>

<br />
<br />
A happy rainy Sunday to you.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Just dropping in to share the card I made for the <a href="http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2017/01/freshly-made-sketches-269-sketch-by.html" target="_blank">Freshly Made Sketches 269 challenge</a>.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Here's this week's sketch:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipoXJDANvpp9DAPoMlYbkGKb46PVboVcW_TqaJrrjOqdHTxjys0M1YLFt1beGPpCMWRWAxeD0yidRlkzqfYoXr8R3GY_wYfuvK978ieoYmscKWAC9K-FB0O3Xlfr9Elxn0AYjIeLuaWWhQ/s400/FMS+Final+269-001.jpg" width="285" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And here's my card:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghgwI3HPWTm1_0nUXD3fenimDkMQwuNXgx4NMKqRa55rb9vcUK2o37yJrwlAjs0wg7KkBBhPfFL_3z-N2IowzvAL7O7IHAyeZ4AnKCFD1_D7hOaQf9jhH_Awu_wzoXME_6C_HyWqLCfz4/s1600/20170108_162850.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="335" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghgwI3HPWTm1_0nUXD3fenimDkMQwuNXgx4NMKqRa55rb9vcUK2o37yJrwlAjs0wg7KkBBhPfFL_3z-N2IowzvAL7O7IHAyeZ4AnKCFD1_D7hOaQf9jhH_Awu_wzoXME_6C_HyWqLCfz4/s400/20170108_162850.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I rotated the sketch to put the stripes at the bottom. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started with some Recollections washi tape that I purchased on a whim (What can I say, I'm a sucker for a good deal on crafty goods.) I used MFT Flashy Florals stamps to mimic the flowers on the washi tape. A sprinkling of sequins finish off the card.</div>

Welcome, friends! And a very happy 2017 to you.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I love the start of a brand new year because it mean a fresh start. And this year I'm looking forward to a fresh start with my blog.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Even though I haven't posted in quite some time (nearly three years, yikes!) I have been crafting away!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
To help me get back in the swing of things blogging wise, I thought I'd start by sharing some of the cards I've made over the last year.</div>
<div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwcKWlysn5pKv_IzQdW-lP-jbS2lnjxJVUl6DkqRIB-Hzg6XwoBqwCCD2AJy76zQBgv7lMnVDWnfttZrtB0Aj8C4pU9sV7ExFAIYageGqgWGGeYsqgZhM0Ut7Wcq7BVVt23_u-BU0PYbA/s1600/20170104_192852.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwcKWlysn5pKv_IzQdW-lP-jbS2lnjxJVUl6DkqRIB-Hzg6XwoBqwCCD2AJy76zQBgv7lMnVDWnfttZrtB0Aj8C4pU9sV7ExFAIYageGqgWGGeYsqgZhM0Ut7Wcq7BVVt23_u-BU0PYbA/s400/20170104_192852.jpg" width="333" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A Rosy Hello! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I LOVE patterned paper! Love it! You could say I'm a bit obsessed with it. In fact, I have to take Dear Husband with me when I go to the craft store, so I don't cave and buy every pad of patterned paper I see!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The patterned paper here is from the 5th & Frolic collection by Dear Lizzy and it inspired this card. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started by stamping all of the images and die cutting them using my Cameo and the Pix Scan mat. The tea cup is from Tea Party by the Ton Stamps. The rose and leafs are from Fresh Cut Roses by the Ton Stamps. The "Hello" sentiment is from Succulents by Waffle Flower Stamps.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A few pearls, a doily and some gray twine finish off the card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

To me, layers scream "finished" on a card. So when I came across the Let's Don't and Say We Did Challenge on Split Coast Stampers, I was intrigued. The challenge was "<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: x-small;">to make the one layer card look like it has layers without adding card stock layers!!" You can read more about the challenge by clicking <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/try-new-technique-f44/tlc467-~-lets-dont-say-we-did-~-2-03-14-a-t583825.html" target="_blank">here</a>. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: x-small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: x-small;">I knew had to take on this challenge. I thought about it for several days, mulling it over, yet I couldn't quite figure out how to take on this challenge. Then this morning I stumbled upon this wonderful sketch, <a href="http://tuesdaymorningsketches.blogspot.com/2014/02/tuesday-morning-sketches-235.html" target="_blank">Sketch 235 by Tuesday Morning Sketches</a>.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13.333333969116211px;"><br /></span><div style="text-align: center;">
<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZkPp5lwZ_ReV2lONhZbdv0TnJWyzmYLKV914LlgG6F8Pw2GM5V7Yh903XEpGiyUcHDwb-v6gDwRd8UhtZkRvIPFh4HoGmGyEnjTxDXFXfeZ6Cey8O8wwFo37M1RlAsYioCj_XYgvOsVI/s320/TMS+%23204.jpg" /></div>
<br />
Inspiration finally hit, and I put together this little one layer beauty.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmUXSFN6mzB6QPONbzOkX28bamiZcpXztwjLOByZ9-SX2yCuO0w9-P9HrPH28OSFEuZDqTd0QxxA-JI4iPIVRGxqzo9-bXbx8-g2obDlsUTb1mmiZ9Fes-6QwhHz-Ob8_No9VBSRAgne8/s1600/DSCN3238-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmUXSFN6mzB6QPONbzOkX28bamiZcpXztwjLOByZ9-SX2yCuO0w9-P9HrPH28OSFEuZDqTd0QxxA-JI4iPIVRGxqzo9-bXbx8-g2obDlsUTb1mmiZ9Fes-6QwhHz-Ob8_No9VBSRAgne8/s1600/DSCN3238-1.jpg" height="400" width="331" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started by masking off my card so I could get the star background stamped and embossed. After the embossing had cooled, I used the negative portion of my die cut circle as a stencil to sponge on some Distress Ink in Peacock Feathers. Next I stamped a sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Lucky Star stamp set in the center of the circle.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSPLrj67uJYOBL9Hdiuxt6Ic3oxki8kZw6eFihFG20YF5ASIpzPuvbCIh8nnyETVVs0oYXYzK1uwMTRqFfdp-rHjbhxFOoO4vOatF3ztlNu8df5XubS0ykvcq-qKmNMKx2eHhZzXfwr30/s1600/DSCN3241-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSPLrj67uJYOBL9Hdiuxt6Ic3oxki8kZw6eFihFG20YF5ASIpzPuvbCIh8nnyETVVs0oYXYzK1uwMTRqFfdp-rHjbhxFOoO4vOatF3ztlNu8df5XubS0ykvcq-qKmNMKx2eHhZzXfwr30/s1600/DSCN3241-1.jpg" height="356" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The card still looked a little unfinished, so I wanted to define the stamped and sponged ares a little more. I used a silver uniball pen to add lines to the top and bottom of the star background. To keep the illusion that the blue circle was layered on top of the star background, I made sure to mask off the circle portion first. I used the circle stencil again to add a little silver outline to the circle.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I would have loved to add some sequins or bling to finish off the card, but I really wanted to keep it flat and one-layered. So I stamped and heat embossed three stars on top of the the circle instead to add to the illusion of layers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It was a really fun card to put together, and I'm glad that I took on the challenge. However, I think I'll stick my layered card!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me share. Have a FANTASTIC day!</div>

<br />
Anyhow, here is my card:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQs2a4tbXH45ShXrMWgAEgG_RXO9J6MgjLZpLkwg6UyEYeHniImM3fvZHnrWhlLIyNBMLkZhSW8U95irMYiDOrv4p6Vm5qy8MCZ91lY8e8e4RqQciwetCksXH-ZcXBxIAuxYu12ayKGXc/s1600/DSCN3178-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQs2a4tbXH45ShXrMWgAEgG_RXO9J6MgjLZpLkwg6UyEYeHniImM3fvZHnrWhlLIyNBMLkZhSW8U95irMYiDOrv4p6Vm5qy8MCZ91lY8e8e4RqQciwetCksXH-ZcXBxIAuxYu12ayKGXc/s1600/DSCN3178-1.jpg" height="640" width="489" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started with a sketch, but for the life of me, I can't find where I found this sketch. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used some fun conversational heart paper that I cut at an angle and mounted onto a white card base. I added strips of red cardstock to the middle edges of the heart paper to draw the eye to the sentiment. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I stamped the "be my valentine" stamp from The Paper Studio in Memento Love Letter ink. To help ground the sentiment, I stamped a heart image from American Crafts Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection in Memento Angel Pink ink on both sides of the sentiment. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To finish the card, I added a die cut and dry embossed heart embellishment to the bottom right corner. The heart is topped with small red button and some baker's twine.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Well, that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out my <a href="http://d28studios.tumblr.com/" target="_blank">card-a-day project site</a> here, for your daily dose of card making inspiration.</div>

This is my card:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVL175F0LsWVZNz7qIQRG7o7oc_7dad6cJzG-f6OPDQsFUOADKr1IJGu9Mrh9SliDvfNsz-ELf0IxG6eTnRlGQihji9UftY3OMLLecXF3Sxh9VDtyLEw9kxdNxKS4R5AejuNHAUU6OfZE/s1600/DSCN3050-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVL175F0LsWVZNz7qIQRG7o7oc_7dad6cJzG-f6OPDQsFUOADKr1IJGu9Mrh9SliDvfNsz-ELf0IxG6eTnRlGQihji9UftY3OMLLecXF3Sxh9VDtyLEw9kxdNxKS4R5AejuNHAUU6OfZE/s400/DSCN3050-1.jpg" width="340" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I stamped the smallest "button" from Papertrey Ink's Bits & Buttons set eight times on a 3-inch panel. I tried to create an ombre effect by stamping the buttons using PTI's Sweet Blush, Autumn Rose, and Scarlet Jewel inks. I stamped the "Hello, Friend" sentiment from the Dear Lizzy Collection in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To keep the eye moving from the sentiment, I placed loops of coordinating colored ribbon on the upper left-hand side of the square panel.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used foam adhesive to mount my square onto the white cardstock panel, and used my score board to score a square around it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Finally, the entire thing is mounted on a black card base. </div>
<br />
Well, that's it for me today. Have a super weekend!<br />

<br />
I'm back with a quick post. I wanted to share the card I made for <a href="http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/2013/11/paper-players-challenge-170.html" target="_blank">Paper Player's Challenge 170</a>. The challenge's theme is "Wildlife."<br />
<br />
This is my card:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZBsNkKI57ADFBI9PtFq0Ao2CNs2VwwzlSoRn2NDcwxNZi0S8BcS7sDGQWFr9qI_g9fgaDUsjSnNkg-VlrvZk_k2LhWPXuZ-tYUvw1OKB0ly5EayWFrcUQjrUXWOOmT3tJUYf1OGs3ewA/s1600/DSCN3040-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZBsNkKI57ADFBI9PtFq0Ao2CNs2VwwzlSoRn2NDcwxNZi0S8BcS7sDGQWFr9qI_g9fgaDUsjSnNkg-VlrvZk_k2LhWPXuZ-tYUvw1OKB0ly5EayWFrcUQjrUXWOOmT3tJUYf1OGs3ewA/s400/DSCN3040-1.jpg" width="306" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used another<a href="http://birdiebrown.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"> Birdie Brown</a> Freebie image that I colored and cut out using my Cameo. I adhered both images to some green polka dot paper, added some faux stitching, and a heat embossed sentiment.</div>

Here is this week's sketch:<br />

This my card:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn02mcAbuQTmORFQjaSqNYieOEYd_ab9lnJ6HBFjFa9OfFAmpLf5muKFGufd8ycsZUfjnOq0jiMox8DLlvySr0jSXcWz0GXMRQIe_azyvebhoNF0A6WVnq7RxNC6GbCiJqgE2bsTBtWaI/s1600/DSCN3026-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn02mcAbuQTmORFQjaSqNYieOEYd_ab9lnJ6HBFjFa9OfFAmpLf5muKFGufd8ycsZUfjnOq0jiMox8DLlvySr0jSXcWz0GXMRQIe_azyvebhoNF0A6WVnq7RxNC6GbCiJqgE2bsTBtWaI/s320/DSCN3026-1.jpg" width="257" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used my Cameo to cut <a href="http://www.silhouetteonlinestore.com/?page=view-shape&id=45943" target="_blank">this pennant shape</a> out of the Christmas tree patterned paper by the Paper Studio. Next I cut <a href="http://www.silhouetteonlinestore.com/?page=view-shape&id=50882" target="_blank">this tree</a> from Hero Arts out of pink cardstock and covered it in pink glitter to match the pink glitter trees on the patterned paper. I cut<a href="http://www.silhouetteonlinestore.com/?page=view-shape&id=26396" target="_blank"> this banner shape</a> out of two shades of pink cardstock and heat embossed my sentiment using white embossing powder and a stamp from a Technique Tuesday set.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started by attaching the glitter die-cut tree onto the front of my card and tying some pink baker's twine around the card front. I added the patterned panel using foam adhesive to get some dimension. And I finished off the card by attaching the sentiment banner.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for stopping by today!</div>

<br />
I made this card for <a href="http://operationwritehome.org/midweek-throwdown-seeing-stars/" target="_blank">OWH's Midweek Throwdown Seeing Stars Challenge</a>.<br />
<br />
I used a sentiment and star stamp from <a href="http://www.lawnfawn.com/products/lucky-stars" target="_blank">Lawn Fawn's Lucky Star stamp set</a> to create a background. I added some star embellishments I cut using my Cameo. I mounted everything on a navy card base to finish off the card.<br />

<br />
I put together a little card using<a href="http://cleanandsimplestamping.blogspot.com/2013/10/264.html" target="_blank"> Clean and Simple's Sketch 264</a>.<br />
<br />
The image is a digital stamp freebie from Birdie Brown. She does some amazing work. You can find her blog<a href="http://birdiebrown.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"> here</a>. Instead of fussy cutting the image out, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the digital image -- so much easier than trying to cut it by hand. Don't you just love technology!?!?<br />
<br />
I heat embossed the sentiment in gold. Looking back now, I wish I would have heat embossed it using brown. The sentiment is lost on the paper. Sad :(<br />
<br />
Have a fantastic day!<br />

My personal life has undergone some MAJOR changes these past few months and I haven't had much time to craft or blog. I think things are starting to even out a bit though so I thought I'd share a little card I put together this last week.<br />
<br />
I've been on a bit of floral kick lately. So when I found this lovely card, I was inspired to create this card:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4-M5rVJFiXgewAC-3ngFJZucKSkRCWSWhRpX8ZtCLlnrH3Up-Et7I3VGRz7-Rkem3-_Pbw3PeOVnJv29U_Vi0GUL3G0y2OpSaG8kdM-fgF2vKfOax5dWuvLxIcU5h_uShj6AeqLSjh2U/s1600/DSCN2766-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="307" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4-M5rVJFiXgewAC-3ngFJZucKSkRCWSWhRpX8ZtCLlnrH3Up-Et7I3VGRz7-Rkem3-_Pbw3PeOVnJv29U_Vi0GUL3G0y2OpSaG8kdM-fgF2vKfOax5dWuvLxIcU5h_uShj6AeqLSjh2U/s400/DSCN2766-1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I started by lightly sketching an oval on my card front. Next I heat embossed one of the leaf images and the sentiment using gold embossing powder. Next I die cut and stamped several flowers and leaves. I laid out my flowers following the gold embossed leaves. I love the way this little beauty turned out!<br />

I know it's been a little while since I've posted. Things have just been crazy around here and a lot of postive changes have been happening! So I just wanted to stop by and say hi.<br />
<br />
With Spring just around the corner, I have been in major stash busting mode! I am a paper hoarder big time, and I've decided that I really need to start using up my stockpile of paper before I run out of crafting space!<br />
<br />
I went back to my oldest stack of paper and have been crafting from there. Here are a few cards I made:<br />

The code word for this challenge is candy. Here's my candy card:<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I loved the colors in my sticky notepad, so I used them for this card. I die cut each sticky note, colored them with my Versamark pen, and used some clear glitter embossing powder to add a glossy candy-like finish to my jars. I used a stamp from Cosmo Cricket's S'More Love for my sentiment.</div>

So it's fitting that Challenge 6 is "Things with Wheels!"<br />
<br />
Here's my card:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlQ_EA26wz1vd2irtkioIL-xCAJa_bbw2R6SvsCBMCXGbq4e9DKZqA69kOEpRTDW2lPyVOyP-JIcbiCsaiduxTgxaf2cqw8ADpDFbc0BD3rXVoIYFw8TlxOlnTEz9Tsq9XBPQTL9K9LLc/s1600/DSCN2607-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlQ_EA26wz1vd2irtkioIL-xCAJa_bbw2R6SvsCBMCXGbq4e9DKZqA69kOEpRTDW2lPyVOyP-JIcbiCsaiduxTgxaf2cqw8ADpDFbc0BD3rXVoIYFw8TlxOlnTEz9Tsq9XBPQTL9K9LLc/s400/DSCN2607-1.jpg" width="312" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I had some fun with this card. I started with a white piece of card stock that I "water colored" with some distress ink. Next I stamped my CTMH bicycle on the dried water colored background. I added some color with my Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut only the bottom of the bicycle.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'll be back soon with another card!</div>

The second challenge is called "All Creatures Great and Small; Cards for Kids."<br />
<br />
Here's my take on this fun challenge:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXbCWPG00mG4RD2obGiI4U6hda-tgLKA5gtu9qcmG5K0y4Pb0N0kcV939mIqBYHhAOSMOQrGNaEXY1Iu5WRSnWAj8sEG-oNKmgzze1fKv_JEFouk2cjydF4QzvJ0cUxxsQf18Uy6hZAE0/s1600/DSCN2604-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXbCWPG00mG4RD2obGiI4U6hda-tgLKA5gtu9qcmG5K0y4Pb0N0kcV939mIqBYHhAOSMOQrGNaEXY1Iu5WRSnWAj8sEG-oNKmgzze1fKv_JEFouk2cjydF4QzvJ0cUxxsQf18Uy6hZAE0/s400/DSCN2604-1.jpg" width="317" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used one of my favorite stamps, Puppy Love, a digital stamp set from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps. I colored him with my Prismacolor pencils to look my sweet fur baby, Sugar. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Yep, you're seeing that correctly. She's found herself a pillow and tucked herself under the rug for a nice long nap. She's such a silly girl!</div>
